Day784 Sunday 10/21/12

ran 0.0 miles
Today ends week 112 of running against Obama. I ran 0.0 miles this week, averaging 0.00 miles per day.

Still on the injured list. I underestimated how long it would take for my toe to heal and it doesn't feel like it will be better any time soon. Hopefully I can squeeze one last run out, at least on the day of the election. That has been my vision to get me through the last 784 days of running and blogging every day for the last twenty-five months. That vision has been one final run to my voting precinct to cast my vote and to run back home and watch the evening unfold as Barack Obama receives the justice that only America's voters can pass.

In the news today, the UN has formally warned Americans of voting for Mitt Romney. Just when I thought I could not have been more convinced to vote for Mitt Romney, United Nations comes along and warns me not to. I'm more sold than ever. I have always made a resolute effort to refrain from vulgarity on this blog and to not use expletives but, here on Day784, I find it necessary ,more now than ever to say that the UN can kiss my ass.

America has a Constitution, which is clearly written and intended to be obeyed. There is nothing about the UN or the idea that this entire planet should be ruled by one world order in the United States Constitution.

Today ends week 111 of running against Obama. I ran 3.4 miles this week, averaging 0.49 miles per day.

It's been six days since my last run against Obama. This is the longest I've gone without running in the last 777 days and I think I'll be ready to ease back into it starting tomorrow. I think my toe may have been fractured but I am convinced it is not broken. It's black and blue and hurts but I want to end this 800 day goal strongly.

Well played, SNL. This country is divided in half within a two or three percent margin of error and we can thank our president for that. Unfortunately, this election is going to come down to a small percentage of individuals within that margin of error that find it difficult to make any single decision on a daily basis that you or I make without a second thought at any given moment.

The fate of America's future, statistically, actually lies in the decisions of a handful of people on November 6 who can't decide whether two plus two equals three or five when, for the rest of us, it clearly equals four.

I think this is supposed to be a sand sculpture of Barack Obama in front of the Democratic National Convention. The sculpture was ominously rained on a few days ago, making the case stronger that perhaps this was a bad idea to begin with. What comes to mind when you look at it? Shovel-ready jobs? Head in the sand?

I tried going to a 2:10 showing of "2016: Obama's America" but was told that the show was sold out. I went back at 4:45 and the theater had to have been at full capacity...and this is the third day since the documentary hit theaters. This film has shattered box office records in the genre of documentaries and is competitive in the arena of mainstream Hollywood films. It ranked fourth overall in ticket sales on its opening night.

Barack Hussein Obama and his presidency have disturbed and motivated me enough to run over three miles per day for nearly two years against him. It doesn't take much googling or common sense to realize how much of a threat this president is to what America was intended to be, but this documentary lays everything on the table and consolidates it with such an overwhelming, gut-wrenching succession of reasons why he is a threat that...to be quite honest, it almost makes you want to cry. I don't know if you have children or ever really think about how much longer you have to spend on Earth in the United States of America, but Barack Obama is no savior and he is no leader.

I could go on for hours, and I would like to, describing how ridiculous and deceitful this man's rise to power was but I will leave it at this: See the movie. If it's not in your city drive to a city it is in. I have run 2,279.5 miles against this guy over the last 728 days and I have spent a lot of time researching him and following his decisions and the disappointing outcomes he has derived---and this movie still managed to drop my jaw.

Special treat for you today. The following is a cartoon from over fifty years ago warning Americans of that time, and future generations, of the exact dangers that have befallen us presently. Apparently, not enough of us saw this prophetic cartoon in time. Highly recommend checking it out! Our modern state of affairs have made a fortuneteller of this cartoon.

100 weeks of running against Obama!!!

ran 3.0 miles
Today ends 700 days and week 100 of running against Obama. I ran 22.5 miles this week, averaging 3.21 miles per day.

100 days left until the election. As we take inventory of the last four years under President Obama it is clear that America is not better off. Anything that might appear to be "better off" only seems that way because it was financed through loans from other countries or it was paid for by printing Monopoly dollars off the funny-money presses, which serve no long-term purpose other than to put America's youth and unborn children into debt they did nothing to incur.

The latest argument in Washington concerns the undecided fate of the Bush era tax cuts. They are set to expire on January 1, 2013, and both Republicans and Democrats are staring one another down waiting for the other to blink.

It appears to me that Republicans generally feel there is not a revenue problem in collecting enough tax dollars, but a spending problem in how those tax dollars are used. Conversely, I get the impression that Democrats will never be satisfied with any number of tax hikes and that they will continue to wastefully spend whatever sum of money it is they have on programs that put jobs and our economy behind less important issues.

Everyone seems to agree that if the Bush tax cuts expire it will make the figurative expression "jumping off the fiscal cliff" a reality. Our president wants to extend the tax cuts to all households making less than $250,000 per year, but he wants the cuts to expire on all earning above that figure. Republicans, obviously, want the tax cuts extended for all Americans.

Just as a note, if you refer to Day678, Rick Santelli explains that even if our president were to take one million dollars from each of the top 1% earners in America, it would barely be enough money to pay for one day of our federal government to simply function. As much money as that is, it is not even enough to scratch the tip of our national debt. All of this debate about raising taxes and extending tax cuts pales in comparison to the fact that our government has a full-blown spending problem and addiction and it needs an intervention followed by at least four years of rehabilitation.

Obama has often said in the past that this is no time to raise taxes. If it was "no time" then it certainly isn't time to raise taxes now. Our president's desire to raise taxes on top earners follows the narrative of his speech in Virginia, the infamous "you didn't build that" speech. It is class warfare he is waging and he is successfully dividing America in two.

Two Americas cannot coexist in the same time and space and on November 6, 2012, one of the two emerging Americas is going to disappear for a very long time.

This has to be one of the worst, most poorly executed messages for a campaign ad, ever. Whoever is running against this Ryan Combe for a seat in the Utah House should make a sequel to this ad. They should call it "Reality". Have the parents immediately kick their son out of their house (they are, after all, depicted as heartless) and force him to make ends meet on his own while continuing to be so compassionate and intellectual. By the time thirty seconds is up the prodigal son can walk back into his parents house, apologize, and change the party on his voter registration card to "R".

Here is the source for the video above. The article elaborates much further on everything that is wrong with this video.

In an article by Emily Miller from the Washington Times, "The next time President Obama hits the links, it will be his 100th round of golf since coming to the White House."

In three and one-half years this president has golfed enough to equal four entire months worth of work time.

2009: President Obama promised his stimulus bill would save or create 3.5 million jobs. Unemployment was 8.3% and our national debt was $10.8 trillion. First golf outing was April 26, 2009. Twenty-seven rounds were played in his first year.

2010: Unemployment at 9.7%. President Obama proposed a second stimulus and a health care overhaul. The Democratic Congress passed these bills. Thirty-one rounds of golf were played in his second year.

2011: Unemployment at 9.1%. During the midterm elections President Obama was "shellacked" and lost control of his House. The Senate took losses but narrowly remained Democratic. American voters had sent a message of how little they approved of Barack Obama's leadership and the decisions he had made. National debt was $14 trillion. Thirty-three rounds of golf were played.

2012: By the time President Obama had delivered his State of the Union Address, he was up to ninety-three rounds of golf. Unemployment was at 8.3%, national debt was $15.2 trillion, and America's credit rating was downgraded.

I had posted about this commencement speech a couple days ago. Here it is in its entirety. Pretty powerful message delivered by David McCullough, Jr. imploring a class of high school graduates to seize every moment they can, to understand they are not special or entitled to anything they do not work hard to earn, and that they have an obligation to themselves to create their own happiness and success and to not approach the rest of their lives with the assumption that they deserve anything for nothing. It's a well-articulated commencement speech worth checking out and it happens to defy much of what Barack Obama's big government nanny state liberal agenda stands for. The America and the future McCullough describes are abrasively truthful and full of difficult challenges we all face in different forms. But isn't that the point, to rise to challenges on our own and as a united people? Or is it something more like what Barack Obama envisions where everything is fair and equal for all, a nation where hard work is punished and mediocrity is rewarded, idleness doubly rewarded?

Wow. That ad was frothing with substance. I've never heard of Anna Wintour, but this is yet another Obama campaign effort to slap us all in the face with a whopping open hand of hypocrisy. Barack Obama puts on his face of compassion and talks about everyone having their "fair share" and he advocates wealth redistribution because the split between those who have and those who have not is far too steep, but then he has these $35,000 per plate dinners with the elites and casually has this eccentric Wintour lady invite a couple of lowly sheep out of their pastures and into the gold-leafed interiors of her world. Her condescending tone is absolutely repulsive---and not one mention of anything substantive regarding this critical election.

Erica Ritz of TheBlaze puts it best when she says, "That Wintour pitch, coming in the middle of tough economic times, seems to have the same feel as Marie Antoinette offering a couple of peasants a chance to hang out with King Louis XVI and the aristocrats just as the Bastille was being stormed."
