Today ends week 114 of running against Obama. I ran 1.7 miles this week, averaging 0.24 miles per day.

Today was my first run in three weeks. We are only two days away from getting Barack Hussein Obama out of the White House and not being able to run as this election reaches its end has been disappointing. I could only muster 1.7 miles today and it might have been my last run against Obama. My injury still needs time to heal but I wanted to make at least one more run.

The Carolina Panthers beat the Washington Redskins today. That's great news if you happen to want Barack Obama to be fired on Tuesday. Out of the last 18 presidential elections, since the Redskins moved to Washington in 1937, they have accurately predicted the outcome of 17 elections by simply winning or losing. 

If the Redskins win the game before the election, the incumbent party wins. If they lose the game before the election, the challenger wins. The Redskins lost 21-13. It sounds like nothing more than superstition but their track record is impeccable. The only time the Redskins were wrong was during the Bush-Gore election. And they were still half-right because Gore won the popular vote.

A total of 538 electoral votes. Divide that by two and a presidential election will end in a tie. It's only happened once in American history (1824) but could this be the repeat year? Here's what you may not know.

In the event that two presidential candidates end an election in a tie of 269 votes each, rather than reaching the almighty 271 for the win, the House of Representatives (the incoming Congress of 2013), which will more than likely be heavily populated with Republicans after November 6, will be the sole deciding factor. That's right---I don't think it is the best contingency plan but if a tie does occur it's a good time to be a conservative. 

It gets even stranger. The Senate decides who the vice president will be. We could potentially have a Romney/Biden ticket or an Obama/Ryan ticket.

Here's something you may not know. This is a list of five curious, yet oddly successful, ways of predicting the presidential election in November (from ABCNews):

1. Just before the election is Halloween and this holiday is 4 for 4 on predicting who the winner is. Based on sales, who ever gets the most masks sold will be the winner. Obama is currently outselling Romney 69% to 31%.

2. NFL's Washington Redskins have had a streak of choosing the winner for the last 18 of 19 elections. The only one they missed was Bush/Kerry in 2004. On the game before the election, if they win then the incumbent wins. If they lose then the challenger wins. This year, the Redskins play the Carolina Panthers.

3. Two University of Colorado professors have been predicting the last eight elections strictly based on statistics all wrapped up into one complicated formula and they have an 8 for 8 record. They predict Obama winning only 213 of the 270 electoral votes necessary for victory.

4. Online gambling is on a weak streak of 2 for 2. 70% currently have their money on Obama and 30% have their money on Romney.

5. Elementary School kids have been picking the winner for 16 out of the last 18 elections. These results will be available October 10.

In case you didn't know, according to the IRS, 81,890,189 tax returns were filed in 2009 that reported taxable income. Let that number sink in. That means a lot of different things.

For starters, there are 314-something-million people in America. That means only one out of every four people you share this nation with even file income taxes. The other three pay nothing...and that was 2009.  It's obvious why Barack Obama has the unexplainable momentum he does---he has numbers on a side this nation did everything it could think of to prevent when its Constitution was written.

Second, the burden of our national debt has been expanded by our Oval Office Food Stamp King by $5,258,977,706,438.39.  What does that mean to you if you happen to pay taxes? You just inherited a $64,000.00 obligation for your nation. Add those fifteen digits to the fifteen digits of debt that Barack Obama swore his presidential oath on and we are at $15,885,854,755,351.47.  Now, if you happen to earn enough to pay taxes, your national debt burden is $193,000.

Lastly, here is a fresh perspective to interpret your tax dollars at work. If you work and pay taxes the way one in nearly four of us seem to do at a tax rate of, let's say, 20%, among the whole spectrum of local, state, and federal taxes, you are basically working for free from January 1 to March 15 of every single year. 

That stings...not because I have a problem with paying into the collective but because so many others do have a problem with it...and, they feel entitled to the collective they do so little to earn a piece of. This is not America.

Above is the average amount of tax dollars you stand to lose in 2013, depending on what state you're in, if the Bush tax cuts expire.

I took the liberty of adding up the sum of money the average individual in each of the fifty states and Washington D.C. stands to lose ($120,214) and divided it by 51. That number is $2,357. If you multiply that number by a rough population of 314,159,265...let's make this easier with round numbers---lets round all the way up to $3,000 and all the way up to 315,000,000 Americans. That would give the federal government 945 billion more tax dollars. Even if Barack Obama ended the Bush tax cuts completely across the board of earners it would still only be enough to knock out a mere 16.93% of our national debt. Obama's stimulus package was nearly $800 billion---only $145 billion short of taking every single federal tax dollar we are saving from the Bush tax cuts in the entire country for a year and spending it on something that had so few results. And this is not even considering the hundreds of other things tax dollars get spent on from welfare programs all the way up to national defense.

Point is, why are we arguing about who should be taxed more and how much they should be taxed when it clearly makes no difference in contrast to how far behind our nation has slipped economically. Our national debt is out of control and our president is doing nothing to stop it. His latest budget did not receive one single vote in the Senate---and the Democrat-led Senate has not even made a budget in over three years. Who lives like this?

The government doesn't have a revenue problem, it has a spending problem.

Under President Obama welfare programs have exploded and are projected to grow exponentially ($800 billion on food stamps alone in the next decade).

The numbers in the chart above represent not only American citizens but non-citizens, as well. In case you didn't know, America has partnered with Mexico to boost food stamp enrollment among non-citizens, migrant workers, and foreign nationals.

In my state, Louisiana, chaos ensued this past Saturday morning when it became evident that Ron Paul was going to win the majority of delegates at the Louisiana State Republican Convention.

In a PolicyMic article written by Hamdan Azhar, “The Louisiana State Republican Convention descended into chaos Saturday morning, with several delegates being arrested and the convention chairman being thrown to the ground by police. Sources report that state party officials panicked when it became clear that Ron Paul delegates commanded a decisive majority of the delegates on the floor – at least 111 of 180 (62%).

In case you didn't hear about it, today in Kentucky the Democratic primary was held and the box with "uncommitted" next to it, under Barack Obama's name as the lone option, won 40% of the vote. That's a handful of delegates for a nonexistent entity. "Uncommitted" could have been a plank of wood, a sandwich bag, a packing peanut, a piece of chalk, or any other inanimate object you can think of and 40% of Kentucky voted for it over Barack Obama. Obama was defeated by a nonexistent candidate in 60 Kentucky counties.

This followed the West Virginia primary, in which Barack Obama lost 41% of the primary vote to an incarcerated man in Texas named Keith Judd. Judd is a serial presidential primary runner who has never before seen such success as he has with this run against Barack Obama.

In Oklahoma, Barack Obama lost 18% of the vote to a man named Randall Terry and 14% to a man named Jim Rogers. Never heard of these guys? 32% of Oklahoma thought they were a better option than Barack Obama, even though they obviously don't stand a chance at the national scale.

Arkansas. Widely unknown candidate, John Wolfe,  has taken in 33% of the early returns in tonight's Democratic primary.

Our president, or Campaigner in Chief, has reached some remarkable record-setting milestones on the campaign trail over the last few years. In a book by Brendan J. Doherty, "The Rise of the President's Permanent Campaign", set to be published this July, Doherty points out how determined Barack Obama is to be reelected, which consequently takes away from his appointed duties of actually serving as POTUS.  This president is exponentially more preoccupied and distracted with running for a second term than any other president in history.

Presidents do not behave in this desperate sort of way when they have a successful record and results to back themselves up with. Ronald Reagan did not hold one single fundraiser when he ran for reelection in 1984. His results and his success made it unnecessary to waste his time with such sideshows. It might be accurate to say that Barack Obama's indulgence in fundraising events, more than every other president since Nixon, combined, is directly proportionate to his being the worst president since Nixon.  Reagan was highly successful and did not hold one single fundraiser (he also happened to win 49 out of 50 states) in 1984. Obama has a country completely divided, a terrible record, and the only glimmer of hope he has is to distract, blame, and distort as much as the money he raises will allow him to do.

Posing as a simple maritime boundary agreement between Alaska and Siberia, in which our federal government put the islands on Russia's side, the state of Alaska was not allowed an opinion in the matter and Alaska's people were not permitted to comment.

Laws with this much gravity are not going to be passed this close to the election and the vote was nothing more than posturing and pointing fingers among Republicans and Democrats. Both sides walk away from the Senate vote with talking points to campaign on for their upcoming re-election races and Barack Obama now has on record another account proving that Republicans would rather have you drinking dirty water and breathing dirty air. He will argue that Republicans mistreat women and the elderly; that they care little for your wellbeing. He will cast them as generally greedy, heartless, Constitutional fanatics who cling to their guns and religion---among many other outlandish claims, which serve no real purpose other than to earn votes from utterly uninformed individuals.

It was in February of last year that Governor Scott Walker of Wisconsin became a household name to represent the message of conservatives across the country.  This man shrugged union intimidation and liberal numbers from every corner of America.  He pressed his shoulder to the wheel and drove the economic reform he campaigned on to bring the state of Wisconsin closer to a budget that could breathe above the surface of deficit.  He succeeded.

For this, he is forced into a recall election.  Those who signed the petition to have him recalled would argue that he is robbing them of their pensions, their health care, and the promises that were made to them.  I, and many others like me, would argue that he is slowly decompressing a rupturing bubble in Wisconsin that will inevitably pop, sooner rather than later, to avoid the catastrophe of not facing the ugly economic truth before Wisconsin, and so many other states.

Raising taxes on every household that makes $250,000 or more per year, then exponentially raising that tax rate for millionaires and billionaires is not going to solve our problems. The money would go to the federal government, which has already proven that they would run out of sand within five years if they were given control of the Sahara Desert. It would put a band-aid on the widest fracture of the debt dam but it ultimately serves no purpose. You can not put into words or even draw a picture of what $15, $16, or $17 trillion of debt looks like. Give Barack Obama another term and maybe you will have better luck with what $24, $25, or $26 trillion of debt looks like. 

I'm not sure what the solution is but I know introducing nationalized health care at a time like this is a proverbial nail in a coffin that has already been sunk three quarters of the way (just waiting on the Supreme Court).

In 2012 our president acknowledges that redistributing wealth from one group to another is a "socialist dream", but in 2008 he proposed the idea without acknowledging it was a concept straight out of Karl Marx's "Communist Manifesto".  I think, in not so many words, he has just insulted the American people once again by calling us stupid.

I've mentioned this in many past posts and I will mention it in many more in the future.  Remember the midterm elections?  On November 2, 2010, Obama, in his own words, got "shellacked".  Republicans claimed the House and nearly took the Senate, all as a result of voting out as many Congressmen and women who aligned with Obama on the two hot topics of that time.

ObamaCare and the stimulus package.  These two pieces of legislation were so disappointing that it cost Barack Obama the numbers he needed to continue deconstructing America through piling on incomprehensible amounts of debt.  So the question is, what has changed?  Our president's power was chopped in half and since then all he has done is present the same alleged solutions that are exactly what got he and his party shellacked in 2010.  His argument is that he has a "do nothing" Congress but I would argue that they are doing exactly what the people who elected asked of them.  Namely, stop spending.  Most of the goals on Obama's path come at the cost of redistributing wealth or running up our national debt.  That is not progress and his spots have not changed since November 2, 2010.

The global economy is in a tailspin and our president regrets not having spent more on stimulus and he is currently awaiting a verdict from the Supreme Court on whether ObamaCare is constitutional or not.  Something as expensive as Obama's health care law could not come at a worse time and a substantial majority of Americans don't even want it.  Something that big with such division among Americans speaks for itself as a bad idea.

Barack Obama has a brilliant plan to lower gas prices by increasing taxes, or ending current tax breaks, on big oil companies.  This brilliant plan does nothing more than slow oil production and whatever money is taken from the oil companies is paid back to them through higher prices at the gas pumps.  

This is nothing new and it is as bad an idea now as it was every other time it's been discussed in the past.  Barack Obama and numerous members of his administration have openly stated they desire high gas prices, and what he is doing now is nothing more than posturing to appease frustrated Americans while, at the same time, getting exactly what he wants.

Whatever sum of tax dollars our government commandeers from big oil companies will most likely be wasted on something like Solyndra---and we will be paying more at the pump.

"Democrats have proposed 'raising taxes on American energy manufacturers — something common sense and basic economics tell us will lead to even higher prices at the pump,' said Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Kentucky. 'Frankly, I can't think of a better way to illustrate how completely out of touch they are on this issue.'"

This effort to curb big oil tax breaks has virtually no chance of going through Congress and everyone, including our president, involved knows it.  It is a farce that Democrats can use to say Republicans don't care about high gas prices and they refuse to do anything about them.  Republicans will be able to argue that Democrats and Barack Obama are so out of touch with reality that this is the best idea they can come up with.

Both sides win while we continue to pay $5 billion per day to keep our government afloat.  (Not kidding about that $5 billion per day to keep the federal government up and running---check it out here)
