Today ends 15 months and 1,384.8 miles of running against Obama! Something short and fun tonight. One of my favorite authors and books is Douglas Adams’ “So Long and Thanks For All the Fish”. Adams, now deceased, had a gift to expose typical human behavior for the chaotic, nutty thing it is, and in the following excerpt he sums up in only a few lines just how chaotic and nutty it is that we elect the politicians we do. "Because if they didn't vote for a lizard," said Ford, "the wrong lizard might get in. Got any gin?"

From a USNews article, by Paul Bedard, “President Obama's slow ride down Gallup's daily presidential job approval index has finally passed below Jimmy Carter, earning Obama the worst job approval rating of any president at this stage of his term in modern political history.”

That was only a matter of time. Congratulations, President Obama. Obama’s job approval rating, according to Gallup, is currently 43%. Carter’s, three years into his presidency, was 51%. Jimmy Carter’s arguable legacy as America’s worst president in modern history has just been challenged by eight entire percentage points worth of even less approval by the American people.

I’m not sure what Barack Obama intends to run on for re-election. He hardly has one leg to even stand upon. His first three years have clearly been deemed unsuccessful by the numbers above. He will more than likely further distract and blame. It’s all he has. And nearly half of this country will buy it. One set of numbers I always rely on to define exactly how divided this nation is shows that only 53% of Americans paid income taxes last year. Under the leadership of Barack Obama, what will happen when that 53% becomes 49% or 45%? 40%? How does a government function if 60% of its people are not even paying taxes, yet feeding with savage hunger off its teat? It makes no sense. This image is not America and Barack Obama deserves every bit of contention he has earned to be America’s new worst president in modern American history.

While the media is agog with Occupy Wall Street, failing to point out many of their obvious abuses and faults, the Tea Party of Richmond, Virginia has taken the initiative to charge their city for past protests they held in order to point out the unfair treatment the mayor and local government gave to the Tea Party while using tax dollars to support the Occupy Wall Street protesters.

Mayor Dwight Jones received an invoice from the Richmond Tea Party for the cost of their rallies and the mayor, conversely, sent a notice to the Tea Party that they were going to be audited. The audit is a blatant attempt to punish the Tea Party for standing up to what is clearly discrimination.

Approximately $8,500.00 was spent by the Tea Party for three rallies, which took place in the same area the Occupiers are currently occupying. They planned and paid for police, portable toilets, park fees and permits. Tax-payers of Virginia are currently paying for the OWS fiasco in that same area, because the Mayor admittedly sympathizes with them.

This is happening all over the country. It is chaos and our president endorses it. It is not Barack Obama’s place to defend or disrupt a protest but when it is costing tax-payers to clean filth off the streets and to maintain the order of these unruly individuals, limits do begin to present themselves and they need to be enforced.

“I guess we’ll be writing a check to the Tea Party people,” said Councilman Bruce W. Tyler, as quoted in the Richmond Times Dispatch. “You can’t treat one group different from the other. It’s unfair.”

Barack Obama has openly staked his claim that he supports the Occupy Wall Street movement. If you want to split hairs we can at least agree that he sympathizes with them. I, on the other hand, feel no sympathy for them and OWS represents every flaw the Democratic Party will never admit to. Remember when the Tea Party once received news coverage? They were ridiculed, belittled, defaced, and generally slammed with every amount of discredit liberals could throw at them. Yet, they were peaceful, respectful, and effective.

Here is the Tea Party’s achievements:

1. Uniting individuals across the American landscape that believe in a balanced budget, low taxes, hard work, freedom, and the Constitution. That’s about it. And these beliefs were effective in firing handfuls of Democratic Congressmen in November of 2010.

What is Occupy Wall Street going to achieve? Shame on anyone who has ever manipulated a contrived comparison of the Tea Party to Occupy Wall Street. There is no comparison. Here is a list of what OWS has done (thanks BigGovernment.com and Andrew Breitbart), which holds them back from accomplishing anything meaningful. It’s a long one, but it is worth spot-checking at least a few of their hundreds of failures.

“In cash-strapped Washington, President Obama’s $1 trillion health care law is presenting a tempting target for lawmakers seeking funds for other projects, as Congress last week raided the health care piggy bank for the third time in less than a year.”

Last Monday President Obama signed $11 billion to pay for the cost of repealing a withholding tax that would have affected government contractors in 2013. There were two other withholding bills (in December and April), which tweaked the health care law to put tax dollars toward other priorities.

To date, approximately $50 billion designated for Obamacare has been allocated elsewhere to pay for more severe and present needs.

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and if you ventured out into the dawn of Black Friday hopefully you did not encounter too many Occupy Black Friday antics. These people behind OWS appear to me as mindless sheep who have zero ambition to move from the barren little spot they’ve been grazing on for their entire lives. No ambition to simply try a new spot and find greater pastures. Instead, they would rather persecute all the others who do have the courage, ambition, and belief in themselves necessary to explore all of the proverbial pastures they choose.

Boycott Black Friday? Brilliant. It is common knowledge that when the federal government hikes taxes on big business or tightens up regulations, especially in an economy like this, people get laid off and the cost are simply passed on to the consumers. On a smaller scale of consumers boycotting big business, if the corporations are at too much of a loss, once again, jobs are lost and costs are raised.

I hope somebody takes the initiative one day to collect as many of the names they can find to make a list of the people who are orchestrating all of this destructive, counterproductive behavior. If I ever start a small business in a post-Obama America I would be disappointed to learn that I may have hired an individual who was so completely disconnected with all reality and logic. I would be surprised to see a man or woman who has the time to sit in parks all day and to scream in streets all night at months at a time tell me that he or she is looking for a job and choosing to reverse their mindless, sheepish ways.

Many of these protestors are young and still trying to figure things out for themselves so there is certainly room for them to grow and to see what other pastures await them. But, these older, bitter, resentful, stubborn, relentless, America-hating sticks in the mud---shame on you.

Haven’t heard much about the Tea Party lately, but they took a stand against the Occupiers by holding a “BUYcott Black Friday”, encouraging consumers to spend as much as their pockets will allow. That sounds more like America.

Ron Paul has been surging in the polls and I have not posted much about him. The reason being he strikes me as agreeable in some ways, such as civil liberties and strictly adhering to the Constitution, but in other ways he is more than controversial. Legalizing marijuana, pulling troops on a massive scale, abandoning Israel, ending the Fed---these ideas may seem attractive or appalling on the surface, but either way, many of the changes Ron Paul wants to implement are definitively radical and, therefore, difficult. Just look at how hard of a time our current radically liberal president is having deconstructing America and reconstructing it on a socialistic model.

1. Put pressure on the justice department to actually have an investigation into the fraud that caused the financial crisis and required us to bailout the banks and financial institutions. Then, make sure they know it will never happen again.

2. Find every individual in every bank who gamed the system and made 'liar loans' for people who had no business buying a home, and if the evidence is sufficient, file charges against them for fraud. Anyone who would think about doing that again would think twice. If there is no punishment no one will have the incentive to stop doing it.

3. Make an amendment to Dodd-Frank that says no bonuses will be allowed to the executive officers of any corporation within 7 years of filing for government bankruptcy protection.

4. Freeze all student loans until unemployment is less than 6% for at least 3 quarters in a row. If it goes above 7%, freeze it again. (All student loan debt could have been paid off if we had gotten out of Iraq just 5 months sooner.

5. Put the tax rates back to the way it was when Ronald Reagan took office. It seems like conservatives would get behind that. It would make the top rate 70% of everything over (about) $370,000 a year.

6. Make banks and financial institutions show a completely transparent and real-time minute by minute spread sheet, accessible by anyone, that shows the institution's balance sheets, cash on hand, debt they are carrying, how many loans they are holding and have sold and the value of all that debt. (Analysts would easily be able to tell if an institution was going down a path that would show the possibility of failure and fraud.)

7. Get all the money out of politics. I mean, ALL the money. All campaigns would be financed 100% by the American people. No one would be allowed to accept any donations from anyone, or even use their own money. In this way the people would own the politicians instead of whatever corporation or special interest group can shovel into their coffers.

8. When you work for the people you will accept no money or favors from any lobbyist or special interest, or anyone, for that matter. If we pay you $170,000 a year that better be the only number on your IRS tax form. You are there to SERVE the people, not line your pockets with dirty cash.

9. Raise the minimum wage. Any American who is willing to work 40 hours a week should be able to put a roof over his head, pay some basic utilities, and buy some health groceries. It should be enough that we will eliminate the 'working poor'. If you have a full-time job you will be ok.

10. Let's solve at least one problem, homelessness. I propose we start a national lottery program where ALL of the profits go to getting all homeless people off the streets and help them get the treatment and housing they need.

They make some valid points but they also grasp at nonsense. I favor numbers three, seven, and ten.

(3) The bonuses these executives are given (tax dollars from the bailout) for doing nothing more than creating a mess by taking advantage of others and then being saved by federal tax dollars are inexcusable. Seven years without a bonus is a modest punishment for sabotaging and manipulating an entire nation for one’s own gain.

(7) This one sounds perfectly logical, which is usually a reliable sign that it would never work in Washington. Way too much common sense here. Politicians elected by the people and not by corporations and special interests?

Huffington Post published a poll today that found Congress currently has a 9% approval rating. Concluding that these were unacceptably low numbers, HuffPo took the liberty of comparing the 9% to other low approval ratings. For example, 11% of Americans approve of polygamy, 30% of Americans approve of pornography, the idea of America becoming a communist nation received 11%, banks earned 23% approval, and the BP oil spill got a 16% approval rating. The IRS had 40% approval in 2009. The Airline Industry and Lawyers have 29% in 2011. Nixon during Watergate had 23% approval. Paris Hilton has 15% approval. And finally, Hugo Chavez in 2007 matches Congress at 9% in 2011.

Two one-time Democratic pollsters, Patrick H. Caddell and Douglas E. Schoen, suggest Barack Obama should not run for a second term, as Harry Truman and Lyndon Johnson had decided not to, even though they could have.

Caddell was a pollster for Jimmy Carter and Schoen was a pollster for Bill Clinton. They both agree that “He (Obama) should abandon his candidacy for re-election in favor of a clear alternative, one capable not only of saving the Democratic Party, but more important, of governing effectively and in a way that preserves the most important of the president's accomplishments. He should step aside for the one candidate who would become, by acclamation, the nominee of the Democratic Party: Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.”

The two pollsters argued one year ago that if Barack Obama pursued his excessively partisan path, the nation would be further divided and Congress would be gridlocked at the worst possible time.

I’ve been endorsing Herman Cain for a long time now. What attracts me to Mr. Cain’s ideas are his business experience, his direct approach to fixing the economy, the fact that he has never been an elected official, and I have one last selfish desire. Of all the candidates before us, Herman Cain is the man I want to see debate Barack Obama when that time comes. I believe Cain to be the most competent and able, passionate and driven, effective and direct means to exploit through debate to America exactly how unacceptable so many of Barack Obama’s decisions and actions have been during his presidency.

This is the way I see it. This is what I think is crippling America and this is what I think needs to happen. Our economy is the spine of our nation. As with a human body, if the spine becomes too injured or crippled to allow the rest of the body to work, paralysis occurs. America’s proverbial spine is degenerating and has been for a long time. Herman Cain has taken nearly bankrupted companies and flipped them right side up into a position of profitability. Our current president is spending us into oblivion. There is no other word to describe the amount of money this man is spending than to use an incomprehensible word like oblivion. But, all the while, we continue to give money to so many other countries that despise us while we have plenty of troubles of our own here on our own soil. America is the most taxed nation on Earth for conducting business and an excess of rules and regulations make it that much harder for existing businesses to thrive and for new businesses to begin.

There are a lot of issues out there that are up for debate but the point I am trying to make is that if we do not revitalize the ability of our spine, or our economy, to once again twist and turn and spark with life, to work the way it is intended to work, what else matters without that one, most important foundation?

Everyone gets health care now? Cool. Good luck with that in a crumbling economy. Gays can openly join the military. Awesome. I’m sure their families and partners would be a lot happier for them back home if more jobs were available and there were brighter plans for their financial futures. Abortion? Yeah, that’s a pretty important one. The economy is just going to have to wait until we can settle Roe vs. Wade. Stimulus packages? Obama is on his way to outspending every single president in American history combined…in the middle of an economy like this. Our president is pretty good at killing terrorists. I’ll give him that. But why don’t we quit giving the countries that harbor them hundreds of millions of dollars each year?

I like Herman Cain for President in 2012 because I believe he will cure our economy, which is the most important factor in our complicated American equation of issues. Worried about foreign affairs? Cain lacks experience here, but Barack Obama did, too. That is what Cabinet members, Ambassadors, and Generals are for, as Cain mentioned. As does every other president who has served, he will surround himself with worthy and capable individuals who are able to assist him with whatever issues need to be dealt with.

Again, the one most important issue in the 2012 election is whether to keep our economy bedridden with injury or too heal it and get it back on its feet. Every other issue will follow.

What will OWS achieve? I think many of those who sacrificed time away from whatever it was they were doing before, which could not have been too important because they are now living in tents, enduring filth and the elements, will be filled with a huge sense of disappointment and disdain very soon. And this disappointment and disdain will be for Barack Obama, the superficial celebrities who made disingenuous appearances, Mayors and other political figures who allowed this farce to rage forward, and the media that daily bolstered their cause, just to name a few. There will be regret and it will arrive in the form of eventually rejoining American society and looking for a job. If they never find the happiness, contentment, and pride that comes with earning and providing for themselves, the liberation from a federal government who wants to convince them that they can achieve nothing by themselves, and if they never discover how to shake the shackles of socialistic ideas off their wrists, it will be a shame. They would be victims of what happens when a radical, leftist president implements the ideas that are currently failing so miserably all around us in other countries.

This past week held numerous elections across the American landscape and some of these elections proved to be resourceful in getting a feel for how America as a whole feels about America as a whole. Ohio was a pivotal state as unions fought for collective bargaining rights and the state also voted on whether Ohioans should have the freedom to choose their own health care providers and plans. Despite the bad math and deficits, Ohio chose to repeal the state government’s plan to reduce spending by tightening the screws on collective bargaining rights, however, they did send a slap to the face of Barack Obama, loudly making him aware that they do not agree with his health care legislation.

But, even louder was the message Virginia sent to Barack Obama’s 2012 hopes of being a two-term president. In an article from the Wall Street Journal, by Kimberley A. Strassel, she commented, “Mr. Obama was the first Democrat to win Virginia since 1964; he beat John McCain by seven percentage points; and he did so on the strength of his appeal to Northern Virginia's many white-collar independents. Along with victories in North Carolina, Colorado and Nevada, the Obama Old Dominion win in 2008 inspired a flurry of stories about how Democrats had forever altered the political map.”

In the last six months, the Obama campaign has hosted approximately 1,600 events in Virginia in an effort to win its people over on both the state and federal level. Virginia was part of Obama’s bus tour (the Death Star) in October. Now that the votes in Virginia have been counted, Democrats have officially failed monumentally, wasting much of their time and money that could have been spent deceiving others elsewhere.

“Virginia Republicans added seven new seats to their majority in the House of Delegates, giving them two-thirds of that chamber's votes—the party's largest margin in history. The GOP also took over the Virginia Senate in results that were especially notable, given that Virginia Democrats this spring crafted an aggressive redistricting plan that had only one aim: providing a firewall against a Republican takeover of that chamber. Even that extreme gerrymander didn't work.”

Every single Republican incumbent won. There were fifty-two in the House and fifteen in the Senate. This will be only the second time in Virginian history that Republicans claim control of state government since the Civil War. And this on the heels of Republican Governor Bob McDonnell being elected in 2009 and three U.S. House Democrats being ousted in the 2010 midterm elections.

Just in case you might have been under the impression that Barack Obama was a guaranteed one-term president after his dismal performance so far, don’t ever assume that to be the case. Beyond what you may think, give or take a couple of percentage points, half of this country pays federal income tax and the other half does not. I think that statistic says a lot, and the only slight minority of those who do not pay federal taxes is exponentially growing and catching up with those who do earn enough money to pay federal taxes. When that slight minority catches and then surpasses, at a sprint, the old majority, logic and reason will all be abandoned and America will become the final competitive nation to go down the path that so many other countries went down and failed at utterly. But there will be no one to bail us out as we had bailed others out. We will be owned and the world will have a new super power.

Barack Obama is not a stupid man. He is extremely intelligent, calculating, and charismatic. I think he knows exactly what he is doing. I do not think he has made one single mistake, at least not in his eyes, and I think he is laying down the foundation for an America that most have only read about in books and left alone as a mere matter of fiction.

The choice America makes on November 6, 2012, will be bigger than any words can explain. It will be an epic intersection in American history where we will, as one nation, reluctantly either turn left or right, and there will not be an exit to turn around at for a long time in either direction.

  • For the first time in American history all radio and television broadcasts will be interrupted at 2 p.m. EST tomorrow as an Emergency Alert System test conducted by FEMA and FCC. For every legitimate reason these two government entities have for conducting this test there is an equally questionable reason why they are attempting to determine whether they have the power to completely interrupt or assume entire control of all radio and television broadcasts.
  • Yesterday, during the G20 Summit, French President Nicolas Sarkozy and Barack Obama spoke candidly to one another about Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, not realizing their microphones were still on.
Sarkozy said, “I cannot stand him. He is a liar.”

Obama replied, “You’re fed up with him, but I have to deal with him everyday!”

There is some quality foreign policy.
  • And finally, this is a really big deal, there was an election today in Ohio, which will set a precedent for the future of health care and the collective bargaining rights of unions. The results of this election will also give a useful reference point of where exactly this country stands regarding liberal and conservative ideas. Obamacare and collective bargaining rights for unions are obviously more liberal interests, while the freedom to choose your own health care provider and maintaining balanced state budgets are more conservative values. There are still many precincts that have not reported but at 8:16 pm here in Louisiana, the votes that have been turned in represent a landslide to keep union’s collective bargaining rights and to preserve the freedom of Ohioans to choose their health care providers and plans. A win for the unions and a loss for Obamacare.

I went through a few of the questions and stumbled upon something interesting I was completely unaware of and would not have expected to read, which leads me to this from www.theamericanresistance.com.

“For over 200 years, the United states only granted amnesty in individual cases and had never given amnesty to large numbers of illegal aliens. Then in 1986, Congress passed the Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA) which gave amnesty to all illegal aliens who had evaded law enforcement for at least four years or who were working illegally in agriculture. This resulted in 2.8 million illegal aliens being admitted as legal immigrants to the United States.

Because of chain migration, those granted amnesty have brought in an additional 142,000 dependents - relatives brought in to the United States to join their family members.

The amnesty of 1986 was supposed to be a "one time only" amnesty. Yet since 1986, Congress passed a total of 7 amnesties for illegal aliens:

1. The Immigration and Reform Control Act (IRCA) Amnesty of 1986 - the "one-time only" blanket amnesty for some 2.8 million illegal aliens.

2. Section 245(i) The Amnesty of 1994 - a temporary rolling amnesty for 578,000 illegal aliens.

3. Section 245(i) The Extension Amnesty of 1997 - an extension of the rolling amnesty created in 1994.

4. The Nicaraguan Adjustment and Central American Relief Act (NACARA) Amnesty of 1997 - an amnesty for nearly one million illegal aliens from Central America.

5. The Haitian Refugee Immigration Fairness Act Amnesty (HRIFA) of 1998 - an amnesty for 125,000 illegal aliens from Haiti.

6. The Late Amnesty of 2000 - an amnesty for approximately 400,000 illegal aliens who claimed they should have been amnestied under the 1986 IRCA amnesty.

7. The LIFE Act Amnesty of 2000 - a reinstatement of the rolling Section 245(i) amnesty to an estimated 900,000 illegal aliens.”

I had no idea how many illegal aliens had been granted amnesty since 1986, which has led to the growth of the staggering numbers of illegals we currently have. Amnesty for these millions is currently being drafted and when you think of it in exponential terms, the only thing amnesty achieves is encouragement for more illegals to enter America on the backs of the tax-payers.

Roosevelt read to America over the radio on June 6, 1944. The prayer was read on the evening of D-Day before American, British, and Canadian troops were to storm Normandy. Barack Obama decided against including the prayer at the World War II Memorial in Washington D.C.

When you have a gun in your hand in a strange land and you are fighting an overwhelming enemy for your life, for your family, and for your country, you do what brave, grown men do, you pray. That is what the president of the United States of America did on that evening in 1944 as millions listened and held hands praying with him. It is a piece of American history and our culture that is constantly attacked by the left. Barack Obama and those who agree with his ungrateful view that “God” should be mentioned as seldom as possible regarding anything American are insulting and disrespectful. This prayer happened. It consoled, even if just a little bit, millions of soldiers and the family they had back home. How can you choose to not include such a monumental element of D-Day at the D-Day Memorial?!

Last night, when I spoke with you about the fall of Rome, I knew at that moment that troops of the United States and our Allies were crossing the Channel in another and greater operation. It has come to pass with success thus far.

And so, in this poignant hour, I ask you to join with me in prayer:

And for us at home -- fathers, mothers, children, wives, sisters, and brothers of brave men overseas, whose thoughts and prayers are ever with them -- help us, Almighty God, to rededicate ourselves in renewed faith in Thee in this hour of great sacrifice.

Many people have urged that I call the nation into a single day of special prayer. But because the road is long and the desire is great, I ask that our people devote themselves in a continuance of prayer. As we rise to each new day, and again when each day is spent, let words of prayer be on our lips, invoking Thy help to our efforts.

Give us strength, too -- strength in our daily tasks, to redouble the contributions we make in the physical and the material support of our armed forces.

And let our hearts be stout, to wait out the long travail, to bear sorrows that may come, to impart our courage unto our sons wheresoever they may be.

And, O Lord, give us faith. Give us faith in Thee; faith in our sons; faith in each other; faith in our united crusade. Let not the keeness of our spirit ever be dulled. Let not the impacts of temporary events, of temporal matters of but fleeting moment -- let not these deter us in our unconquerable purpose.

With Thy blessing, we shall prevail over the unholy forces of our enemy. Help us to conquer the apostles of greed and racial arrogances. Lead us to the saving of our country, and with our sister nations into a world unity that will spell a sure peace -- a peace invulnerable to the schemings of unworthy men.
